Got this in an email:
Dear YouTube Member:
UMG has claimed some or all audio content in your video Say You, Say Me. This claim was made as part of the YouTube Content Identification program.
Your video is still live because UMG has authorized the use of this content on YouTube. As long as UMG has a claim on your video, they will receive public statistics about your video, such as number of views. Viewers may also see advertising on your video’s page.
I’d love to think that my rediculous video could possibly help UMG and Lionel Richie make some money.

I’m in Raleigh this week for some training. This gains me a few things.
- I get to see the campaign ads leading up to the N.C. primary. I just saw one for Hillary where she is at a backyard BBQ with some older middle class white folk. One of them asks an entirely “unscripted” question about V.A. funding for soldiers returning from Iraq. She gives her completely “unscripted” answer while the camera shakes and jitters. It’s quite NYPD blue. Also quite unimpressive.
- Beautiful country. It’s pretty around here.
- A chance to meet with counterparts from papers around the country. Seems like everyone is prepping for a re-design. I know it is prompted by a national mandate for new ad placements but everyone is using it as an opportunity to make their site better.
It also means that I am using a less than stellar loaner laptop, my hotel room can’t get decent wi-fi and I have to wait a whole week before I can get back to my new Wii…
and Sarah, she’s alright too.

As pointed out by 37signals. CNN now has a headline t-shirt service. I took it upon myself to exploit their weakness.

I think it’s pretty close to the way that the last two presidential elections were decided.
